He was brought up in a family of sculptores and architects. He worked with Casas y Novoa and Simón Rodríguez in Santiago. He was one of the most important experts on altarpieces in Galicia.

 Work & Activities

Together with the Galician sculptor Alfonsin, he designed the work for the organs on both sides of the high altar of Santiago's Cathedral. These are two of his most important altarpieces: Colegiata de Iria Flavia and the Hight Altar of Nosa Señora da Barca Sanctuary in Muxía (A Coruña).
