He studied Law in Oviedo and Santiago. In 1936, he became a judge but he interrupted his professional career when the Civil War broke out. When the war was over, he took up his juridical activity again and became a Labour Magistrate in Lugo and Ourense. Later on, he filled the offices of labour representative in Zaragoza and head of the Service of Mutual Benefit Societies in Madrid. He took up the judicature again and became a county court judge in Logrosán, Oviedo and Santiago. He was also a magistrate of the Galician Regional Court.
He was on the editorial staff of the magazine ?Foro Gallego?, in which he published several works. In 1961, he published Apostillas a la Ley de Arrendamientos Urbanos.
He was awarded several decorations to the civil merit, the military merit, and 'San Raimundo de Penafiel'.
