He was the manager director of ‘Hidroeléctrica de Silleda’, president of the Association of Pigs (Pontevedra), president of the Association of Health Defence (Silleda), member of the Chamber of Commerce of Pontevedra, member of the Association of Spanish Fairs and president of the Association of Agricultural Fairs of Europe.
Nowadays, he is the president of ‘Semana Verde de Galicia’ Foundation, president of ‘Semana Verde de Galicia’ Association and the Galician agricultural market and president of the Spanish Association of Livestock Markets.
He was awarded the following prizes and honourable mentions: ‘Cruz da Orde do Mérito Agrícola’, ‘Teucro de Prata’ of the Chamber of Commerce (Pontevedra), ‘Galego do Mes’, El Correo Gallego (June 1991), ‘Araguaney de Ouro’, ‘Cabaleiro da Orde do Camiño de Santiago’,’ Recoñecemento Aegama’, ‘Trofeo Galeguidade 2001’ and (‘Enxebre Orde da Vieira’).

 Work & Activities

In 1978, he promoted ‘Semana Verde’ Agricultural Contest, which has been considered as an international fair since 1988. Since it was created in 1991, he has been the president of ‘Semana Verde de Galicia’ Foundation, a non-profit-making institution dedicated to the organizacion of fair events such as TURISPORT (Tourism, Sport and Rural Development), CIMAG (Farm Machinery International Contest), MITE (Information and Telecommunication Market) and FICOMAT (Building, Mining Industry and Public Works). He is also responsible for the Galician Agricultural Market with a commercialization system based on bid. It moves about 59.296 heads a year with economical transactions of 17.645.000 euro (figures in 2004).
