Although she was born in Switzerland, she has been living in Cervo since she was a child. Her career in the PSdeG started in 2000 as secretary of the Socialist Youth of Cervo. She has been linked to this organization for years. Since 2003 she has been a town councillor of the Socialist Party in Cervo. She is the secretary of A Mariña Regional Organization and member of the Galician national executive committee of the Socialist Party. She is also the vice-president of the Association of Rural Women in Santiago de Compostela.
In 2007, he entered the first Socialist Corporation in Lugo and was the second vice-president responsible for Economic Promotion and Employment (INLUDES) for four years. During the second session, she ratified the same responsibilities in that institution but she is also responsible for one of the Employment, Sustainable Economy and Demography area. Lugo County Council is one of the local institutions that more European funds ratifies. It is also the only Spanish institution that created a specific area against depopulation, the most serious problem in Lugo and Galicia during the 21st century.
