He is an autodidact and started his exhibitions in 1978: ‘Hogar Juvenil’, Noia (A Coruña), A Coruña City Council and Nautical Club of Portosín. That same year he was awarded the second prize (Concello de Cambre Painting Contest) with his work ‘Tres versiones para una plancha’. Together with Gancedo, José Luis Vasconcellos, Ramón Manzano, Nito D’avila, Xosé Cobas, etc... In 1984, he founded ‘Desnivel’, carrying out several cultural events all around different Galician cities. In March 1984, he edited the art magazine with the same name of the group, mainly promoted by Francisco Rojas. In 1986, he began to teach Drawing at the Salesiano School in A Coruña. From 1987 to 1989, he collaborated as a drawer in the economy supplement for ‘La Voz de Galicia’. In 1998, he gave conferences about art at Someso Secondary School (A Coruña) and one year later, he was included in ‘Gran Enciclopedia Gallega’. In 2001, he made the poster for ‘La verbena de la paloma’. In 2002, he was included in ‘Diccionario de Pintores y Escultores españoles del siglo XX’. Together with José Luis López Vasconcellos and Folgueira, he founded ‘Mamoa’ in 2003 and was included in ‘Guía de Artistas de Galicia’ (Xunta de Galicia). He also collaborated as a commentator for the art magazine ‘Arte Galicia siglo XXI’ and in 2005, he began to paint ‘Marenostrum’, posters for the facade of the Sea Club in San Amaro.
A Coruña County Council invited him to take part in the ‘I Encuentro con la Pintura’, celebrated at Pazo de Mariñán, where he met artists such as Alfonso Costa, Carpo, Dorda, Babío Sabio, Noemí Otamendi, Jaime Galdeano, Patinha, Manuel Romero, Cobas, Manuel Gandullo... and poets such as Carlos Pereira, Xulio Valcarce and Eva Veiga. In September of that same year, he finished the mural paintings for the Sea Club.
