Ángel Romero conducted several bands and choirs. After exiling to Buenos Aires, he collaborated with several Galician choirs and composed some successful pieces.
‘A Rianxeira’, dedicated to his native village, was his most important piece. It was performed for the first time in the Choir of the Galician Centre of Buenos Aires and was recorded in 1950 at RCA-Víctor Studio. Ángel Romero composed other pieces such as ‘Bicos do Mar’, ‘Pola Punta da Fincheira’, ‘Gaivotiña Voadora’ and ‘Da Lusada’.
He was elected ‘favourite son’ of Rianxo posthumously.
