He is a member of several scientific institutions such as 'Padre Sarmiento' Institute of Galician Studies, Centre Européen de Recherches sur les Congrégations et Ordres Religieux (CERCOR), Centre of Jacobean Studies and Galaico-Minhoto Cultural Institute. He gave many lectures both in Spain and abroad and took part in many publications about themes of his speciality.
