He fled to Portugal during the Civil War (1937) and then travelled to Cuba and Venezuela, where he created the Galician Centre and founded several magazines. Besides, he collaborated in several newspapers.
Vilardevós (1971) and O silencio redimido (an autobiographic book) are his most important works although he also wrote Non agardei por ninguén, Noticia previa and Reencontro co lector postrero.
