He took a degree in Law at the University of Salamanca and was ordained as a priest by Bishop Francisco Blanco Nájera in 1950. He worked as a teacher at ‘Padre Fijoo’ Secondary School and was appointed to Abedes and Cabreiroa parish churches in Verín. When he moved to Madrid, he was coadjutor of St Marcos parish church and chaplain of the Hall of Residence.

-Collaborations in La Región de Ourense.
 

 Other Interesting Aspects

Román Pedreira was the son of Araceli Ancochea Roldán, an illustrious musicologist from O Barco de Valdeorras. She was awarded the first piano and harmony prize at the Conservatory of Madrid. She studied with Professor Bretón and worked as a teacher with her husband in Cuenca and Ourense.
