She took a degree in Germanic Philology (English). She teaches English at ‘Lucus Augusti’ Secondary School and has been the director since 1999. She was the president of the Galician Association of Teachers of English - APIGA (1991).

 Work & Activities

Together with M. C. Matalobos, she wrote ‘Vocabulario galego de FP’ (1984) and published ‘Retrato infantil’ (finalist at ‘I Premio Buril das Letras Galegas’, 1986), ‘Volta a casa’ (1989) and ‘Amence’ (poem; 1987). From 1984 to 1988, she wrote a series of articles in ‘Táboa Redonda’, the cultural supplement of El Progreso: ‘1984, Ano Shakespeare, Emily Bronte e Rosalía de Castro’, ‘Entre a soidade e a saudade’, ‘O latín e o estudo do inglés’, ‘Poetas ingleses de expresión galega’, ‘Anne Marie Morris, unha voz fuxitiva que chegou do alén-mar’, ‘F. Scott Fizgerald, un neno mimado no seu mundo de soños’, ‘Londres renacendo entre as cinzas’ and ‘As fadas en Inglaterra’.
