He entered the Conservatoire of A Coruña when he was eight. He studied clarinet, sol-fa and harmony. When he was fourteen, he started out as an autodidact saxophonist.
Nowadays, he teaches saxophone in the Music Conservatoire of A Coruña.
He carried out performances in different European stages and festivals: Festival de Músicas do mundo – Tondela 03, Cambridge Festival 04, Vigo Jazz Festival 04, Filets Bleus 05, San Sebastián Jazz Festival 05, Tonder Festival 05, Iberojazz 05, Strasbourg Music Festival 06, Azores International Festival 06, Glasgow Festival 06, Novas Músicas de Monforte 06, Lourizán 06, etc...

 Work & Activities

After “Regra de Tres” (Xingra – 2004), “Tempos de Cambio” (Xingra – 2006) is his last work and he chooses the quartet (Manolo Gutiérrez - piano, Carlos Bastón - battery and Alfonso Morán – double bass).
He was called to record several works: Carlos López Cuarteto (Free-code-2006) “Onde Nace o Vento” Pepe Vaamonde Group (Falcatruada – 2005); Big Band – Conservatoire of A Coruña (2004); “Mares de Tempo” Susana Seivane (Boa-2004); “Fuera” Carmen Rey (Xingra - 2004); “Vintenove” Sabela Cereijo (Xingra – 2004), “Punta de Cabío” Marcos Teira (Xingra – 2003)¸ “O Mar Vertical” Maite Dono (Xingra – 2002); “Mr. Cal” Fernando Llorca Atlantic Band (Clave Records – 2001); “Danza das Areas” Uxía (Virgim – 2000); “Capetón” Os Diplomáticos de Monte Alto (Fonomusic – 1999) and “7 Mares” Los Limones (Tecnodisco – 1997), among others.
He participated in the sound tracks of several serials on Galician TV such as “As Leis da Celavella” (Xingra – 2004), “Pratos Combinados” or films such as “Banca Madison”, directed by Carlos Amil, 2000 (Xingra – 2003).
He was responsible for the musical production of the works by Pablo Álvaro and Carmen Dor. He also participated in “Estudio”, a jazz programme on Radio Galega, together with Kin García.

 Other Interesting Aspects

He became vice president of the Galician Jazz Association (Agamujazz) and co-directed and coordinated Imagina Sons Jazz Orchestrae with Baldo Martínez and Alberto Conde.
