He studied in the Seminaries of Tui (Philosophy) and Vigo (Theology) until 1960. In 1974, he began to study in the Faculty of History (University of Santiago de Compostela). He secularized in 1975-76. In 1977, he worked as a secretary of the local Agricultural Chamber in O Rosal. In 1979, he got in charge of Santa Trega Historic Complex and became curator of the Archaeological Museum. He was awarded a literary prize in 1973 (‘I Certamen Periodístico de la Ciudad de Tui) and usually collaborates in the press and magazines of Pontevedra’s Museum, the Diocesan Museum and Archives of Tui, ‘Pontevedra Arqueológica’, ‘Pregón’ and ‘Soberosum’ (Ponteareas). He worked as a teacher at schools and academies in Ponteareas, A Guarda and Baiona. He is one of the founders of the ‘Equipo Arqueológico del Bajo Miño’ (1968), the Diocesan Museum and Archives of Tui (1974), the Library, Ethnographic Museum and Cultural Bulletin of the City Council of O Rosal, the ‘Instituto de Estudios Tudenses’ (1990) and the ‘Instituto de Estudios de A Paradanta y Condado del Tea’ (2003). He is a member of Padre Sarmiento Institute (Archaeology Section) of Santiago de Compostela (1979), the Writer Association of Spain (1982), Alfredo García Alén Archaeology Group of Pontevedra (1983) and member of the Prehistory Department of the University of Santiago (1984).
