In 1957, he took a degree in Veterinary Medicine in the Faculty of León and his doctor's degree in 1989. In 1957, he specialised in Artificial Insemination. In 1971, he got a certificate in Reproduction. In 1987, he specialised in cattle selection and improvement and in genetic improvement in 1992.

He made reports and communications in congresses about cattle reproduction and took part in round table conferences. He also collaborated in different publications and gave courses.
