Ramón Nicolás
Curriculum He took a degree in Galician-Portuguese Philology (University of Santiago de Compostela, 1989) and teaches Galician language and literature in a Secondary School in Vigo. He practised teaching at the University of Vigo and has worked as literary critic since 1990. He collaborated in several written and audiovisual means and nowadays he collaborates with the supplement 'Culturas' in La Voz de Galicia. He is also responsible for "Breviario" in 'Biblos. Club de lectores' and the information pages of Galician books in 'Qué leer'. He collaborated in “Libro aberto” on TVG.
Since 1999 he has directed the collection ‘Biblioteca das Letras Galegas’ (Edicións Xerais de Galicia) and was awarded the prize for editorial cooperation as literary critic in 2004. He was valuated as the best literary critic in 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 in the web “Fervenzas literarias”. His translation of 'Sete casas en Francia' by Bernardo Axtaga was considered as the best book in the translation section for adults in 2009 in the same web.
In 2011, his translation of '30 gramos' by Leonel Moura was awarded Lois Tobío Prize for the best translation and was also awarded the prize of the Association of Writers in Galician Language for the best cultural journalism career.
In 2013, the Association of Writers in Galician Language gave him the prize for the best blog (cadernodacritica.blogaliza.org) and the best essay for his book 'Onde o mundo se chama Celso Emilio Ferreiro' (Xerais, 2012), which was also awarded Losada Diéguez Prize for the best essay published in 2012.
Since 2011 he has been patron of Celso Emilio Ferreiro Foundation.
