He began to play instruments when he was still young, first the drums, then the guitar and then the keyboard. After listening to the first Galician singer-songwriters in the 70’s, he decided to write and sing his whole work in Galician language.
After leaving the conservatoire in Madrid, he arrived in Paris during the Spanish dictatorship, where he became aware of the cruel and miserable emigration in Galicia. This problem let him create his first work, “Aínda que comamos centeo”.
He was awarded the special press prize and ‘Centolo de Ouro’ First Prize (‘Festival do Grove’, 1975).
