After arriving in Barcelona in the early 60's and working in many jobs, his professional activity focussed in the property sector.

 Work & Activities

Over thirty years dedicated to property promotion and flat building, mainly in the Guinardó area in Barcelona, made him be worthy of prestige and consideration within this sector. Thanks to the experience he got throughout these years, he wrote and published El problema de la vida. Together with his industrial activity, Olegario Sotelo Blanco started an important task in the publishing sector, creating 'Sotelo Blanco' Publications. Twenty years after its foundation, this firm has gone beyond five hundred titles in Galician language. Other outstanding parallel initiatives are the critical magazine 'A Trabe de Ouro' and 'Ronsel' publishing house in Barcelona, which publishes in Castilian language. He was always interested in the safeguard of Galician rural world (Antropología cultural da terra de Caldelas and Os afiadores, unha industria ambulante) and the social, political and psychological problems derived from emigration (A emigración galega en Cataluña). This book suggested him the recent narrative work Contos de indianos and the novel El viaje de la vida). He also carries out a constant journalistic activity.

 Other Interesting Aspects

He was rewarded with the 'Pedrón de Honra' in 1992. Since 1999, he has been the president of the Galician Centre in Barcelona.
