Ofelia studied Primary Education at home as her father did not want her to go to school. Just as her sisters, Ofelia went to Madrid to improve her voice at the Conservatory. When he married Felipe Cubas in Burgos, she gave up her musical career.

 Work & Activities

In 1914, she debuted in Madrid at the Zarzuela Theatre with the play Maruxa. In 1919, she was already a very famous singer and performed in Florence Aida and Manon. In 1920, she played the part of Desdemona in Othelo at the Royal Theatre in Madrid. This same year she took part in Bilbao in the first appearance of Amaya de Guridi and travelled all over South-America, acting at the Main Theatre in Río de Janeiro. In 1921, she spent Christmas in Madrid with her family and performed Aida and Tosca. Then he travelled again to America and was paid an homage at the Galician Centre in Buenos Aires. She also recorded some Galician songs such as Un adiós a Mariquiña and Unha noite na eira do trigo.
