He took a degree in Hispanic Philology at the University of Santiago de Compostela and a doctor’s degree at the University of Leon. At the moment he is working as a teacher of Secondary Education in Castilla y León. He usually collaborates in Diario de León, El Progreso and Abc as well as in Estudios Humanísticos e Lectura y signo, two magazines about critic and literary research from the University of León. He has participated in some conferences or symposia giving lectures and reports as well.
He collaborated in several collective books such as Segundos cortos (1998), Seis escritores de Villalba (1986), Homenaje a Lucio García Ortega (2002), Literatura actual en Castilla y León (2005) and A Voz de Vilalba (2006), facsimile edition of the homonime newspaper. He also wrote the prologue for Paso a paso (2007) by Óscar Carbajo.
He also published Historias da Rumc (2005), a collection of stories in Galician as well as an extensive monograph as a result of the research carried out for his doctoral thesis: La obra literaria de Gabino-Alejandro Carriedo (2008).
Nowadays he is one of the editors of www.avozdevilalba.com (digital magazine about opinion and cultural information).
