He studied Trade (A Coruña), Teaching (Lugo) and took a degree in Law at Santiago de Compostela University. In 1956, he founded the association 'Artistas Ferrolanos'. From the professional point of view, he devoted himself to the legal profession and Teaching.

 Work & Activities

He published the following books: Bello Piñeiro y su tiempo (1967), Aportaciones al arte pictórico (1985), Pintura Ferrolana (1987), Pablo Iglesias y su entorno (1995), Xacobe e Prisciliano (Ensaio sobre unha piadosa creenza más político que religioso) (1997), La decoración mural de Bello Piñeiro en el Casino Ferrolano, Ecos de Italia y Francia, Ensayo entorno al periodismo ferrolano and San Saturnino. He collaborated in the magazines 'Aturuxo', 'Nordés', 'Finisterre', 'Vida Gallega', 'Arte Galicia', 'Alborada' (Barcelona), 'Libredón' (Santander), 'Galicia Emigrante' and 'Abrente' (publication of 'Nuestra Señora del Rosario' Academy of Fine Arts). He wrote many journalistic articles and gave lectures all over Galicia. He carried out individual and collective exhibitions in Ferrol (1946, 1947, 1950, 1952, 1955 and 1991), A Coruña (1948 and 1952), Lugo (1957), Ourense (1967), Vigo (1948) and Santiago de Compostela (1951 and 1954).

 Other Interesting Aspects

A selective exhibition of his work was carried out in the Athenaeum, the City Council of Ferrol and the County Council of A Coruña in the year 2000. He has been a member of the Galician Academy since 1951, 'Nuestra Señora del Rosario' Academy of Fine Arts since 1978, honourable member of the Artistic Society of Ferrol and honourable president of the association 'Amigos del Paisaje Gallego'. In addition to Spanish and Galician, he speaks French, English and German.
