He studied at the national School of Graphic Arts in Madrid, at the Fine Arts Circle and at St Fernando Academy of Fine Arts.
In addition to his artistic work, he has been working graphic art and illustration with his wife in the advertising studio she directs.
As he could not go on with etching in his work, from 1960 to 1969 he developed a technique to prepare his own colours and some vegetable colours as saffron. He was so anxious to go on with what he had lost that some years later he managed to change the cold pen-style technique to what his work is today. The paper he uses and the elaboration are manual and with different grammes thick and structure. Almost all motifs have reminiscences of etching, different colours and shades, which gives the whole work a new dimension of values and a bigger artistic quality to what is simply known as pen-style drawing.
