He carried out studies related to the touristic sector firms. He was the president of the Provincial Hostelería and Touristic Activities Syndicate of the old Syndical Organization (1965-78), founder and first president of the ‘Asociación Provincial de Empresarios de Hostelería de Lugo’ (1977-87; 1995-2002), one of the founders of the Businessmen Confederation of Lugo, town councillor in the City Council of Lugo (1969-87), deputy in Lugo (1983-87), president of the Galician Confederation of Hotel Businessmen (1998-2001) and member of the executive committee of the Businessmen Confederation of Lugo (1978-2002). He was also the vicepresident of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Navigation in Lugo.
