He started his studies in Guitiriz and went on studying Secondary Education at Lucus Augusti Secondary School in Lugo in 1970. During this stage he lives at “Eijo Garay” Hall of Residence, where he took an active part in the life of the centre collaborating in the elaboration of the magazine ‘Noroeste’. In 1977 he began to study Teaching in A Coruña, specializing in Science. Some years later he specialized in Galician Language (1986) and Musical Education (1998). In 1981-82 he began to study at the public school of Cariño.
Afterwards, he practised teaching at “Sta. María” School in As Pontes, “A Castellana” School in Aranga, Muniferral School in Aranga, the school of Xermade and ‘Manuel Mato Vizoso’ School in Vilalba, where he has been working since 2007.
He directed the school of Xermade from 1998 to 2007 and was on the board of directors of Xermolos Cultural Association in Guitiriz during the 80’s.
He has also been on the board of directors of the Cultural Centre of Vilalba since 2002. Since February 2008 he is the president of the ‘Instituto de Estudios Chairegos’.
In 2013 he published 'Cancioneiro das Terras de Aranga', Deputación de A Coruña.
He usually collaborates in local magazines and in some collective publications of the ‘Instituto de Estudios Chairegos’.
