After studying in the Seminary of Tui, he took a degree in Jurisprudence in Santiago, where he founded and edited the weekly paper La Armonía. Afterwards, he established himself in Madrid.

 Work & Activities

Leopoldo Martínez Padín wrote the first volume of Historia política, religiosa y descriptiva de Galicia (1849), his most important work. Besides, he wrote Suspiros del corazón (1845), the poetry titled A la Reina con motivo de su enlace con el Sr. Don Francisco de Asís (1846) and a composition titled A Galicia (1862).
