Curriculum

He took a degree in Law and practised as a lawyer. He belongs to the Finance Corps and attended the course for directors of the Xunta de Galicia. He has been working for the State Administration from 1976 to 1984 as head of the State Legal Profession in Pontevedra and Vigo. It was in 1984 that he began to work as a lawyer for the Xunta de Galicia and shortly after as technical adviser. He was the secretary of the board of directors of the firm ‘Hijos de J. Barreras’ from 1978 to 1999. He was also a councillor of the City Council of Vigo, vicepresident of the County Council of Pontevedra, and the president of the Port of Vigo.
