He took a degree in Economics at the University of Santiago de Compostela and attended a postgraduate course in Tourist Business Management. He also attended a course on Strategic Marketing, Promotion and Commercial Distribution in the Faculty of Economics at the University of Santiago de Compostela as well as a university course on Environment.
He graduated in English, Italian and French at the Language Institute of the Faculty of Philology (University of Santiago).
He directed the Centro Superior de Hostelería de Galicia between 2007 and 2009. Since 2009 he has been directing the Galician Institute for Tourism.
