He took a degree in Galician-Portuguese Philology and graduated in History. In 1996, he founded “A Palavra Perduda” Bookshop in Santiago de Compostela and from 2001 to 2009 he worked as a teacher of Portuguese at the Language School of Ourense. Since 2008 he has been a member of the Galician Academy of the Portuguese Language (AGLP) and since 2009 he has been the president of the “Associaçom Galega de Lingua, AGAL”.
In 2001 he published “O Galego (im)possível”, Laiovento.
From 2005 to 2009 he was editor-in-chief of Planeta NH, the web of thematic questionnaires to deepen the Portuguese language and culture: www.agal-gz.org/planeta
Since 2006 he has a column called “Lingua Nacional” in the newspaper “Novas da Galiza”.
In 2008, within Galabra Group, he elaborated an online Portuguese course, www.portuguesparanos.com
In 2009 he published “Do Ñ para o NH, Manual de língua para transitar do galego-castelhano para o galego-português”.
He has coordinated several conferences on language at A Esmorga Social Centre in Ourense, taking part in the stylistic and linguistic correction of several books.
