He is a member of the Seminary of 'Deza' Studies (Seminario de Estudios del Deza), the Cultural Foundation of Lalín and correspondent of Pontevedra's Museum.

 Work & Activities

He wrote the following books: Hijos ilustres de Lalín: El aviador Loriga (1976). Silleda, la tierra de Trasdeza en la Galicia Central (1978). A comarca do Deza in collaboration with Armando Vázquez (1989- 1997). Coñece Lalín. Comarca do Deza (1994). Loriga: O home que baixou do ceo (1997). Within the collection Hijos ilustres de la provincia de Pontevedra, sponsored by the County Council, he published O aviador Loriga (1989) and W. Calvo Garra: Vida de un científico (1991). O reloxeiro Evangelino Taboada (1998). From 1975 to 1979, he collaborated in the Galician Encyclopaedia. Other collaborations: with Filgueira Valverde and García Alén in Adiciones a la Carta Arqueológica de la provincia de Pontevedra (1976), with Hipólito de Sá in Rutas de Románico en la provincia de Pontevedra (1978), with the association 'Asociación de Amigos de los Pazos' in Inventario de Pazos y Torres. La Estrada, Deza y Camba (1982), in the publication of the works Vidal Payo Unha vida en pedra (1996) and Lalín, cen anos en fotos (1999) and with Manuel D. Varela Buxán in O patriarca do teatro galego (2000). He also collaborated in the newspapers La Voz de Galicia (1972), El Correo Gallego (1973-76), A Nosa Terra (1983-89) and Faro de Vigo (1982-99); in the radio stations 'Radio Pontevedra' (1974-75), 'Radio Noroeste' (1985-86), 'Radio Nacional de España' (1981-83) and for Galician TV and Spanish TV in Galicia. He edited the newspaper La Defensa (Lalín, 1980). As director and scriptwriter of the group 'Deza Cine Galego' (1975-82), he took part in the films Fiadeiras de Zobra, O campo galego, Cantigas da emigración, Consello do compadre, Loita, Lalín and O Santuario do Faro, which were projected in many Galician villages. He also took part in the festivals of amateur cinema in Vilagarcía, Vigo and Lugo, getting important prizes and honourable mentions.

He also directs the branch of the bank 'Bilbao Vizcaya-Argentaria' in Ribadavia. He had also directed the branches in Silleda and Lalín.
