H. R. C. took a doctor's degree in Galician- Portuguese Philology at Santiago University. He is a member of the Association of Writers in Galician Language, coordinator of 'Manuel Murguía' Contest for short novels, sub-director of the magazine 'Algalia' and literature teacher at 'Manuel Murgía' Secondary Education. He took part in many congresses with published reports about Galician language, literature and theatre. We can read some of his works about Feixó de Araúxo, Lugrís Freire, A. Bóveda, Blanco Amor, Guerra de la Cal, Anxo Casal, Carvallo Calero, Luís Seoane, Celso Emilio Ferreiro and Xavier Seoane in the minutes of the first, second, third, fourth and fifth congresses about Galician-Portuguese Language, the minutes of the first and second Congress of Lusitanian Literatures and in the volumes O fenómeno literario nos países lusófonos and Homenagem ao Prof. Carvalho Calero. According to Ch. A. Ferguson, he studied with Gil Hernández the concept 'diglosia' in 1989.

He dedicated his minor thesis and doctoral thesis to theatre. In 1992, he took part in the edition of Alba de Gloria by Castelao with illustrations by Facal. Rabuñal Corgo also published the volumes Relatos, Airadas de palabras and Tecendo Panos. He collaborated in the volumes Volver a Murguía and Manuel Murguía. Instantes de una vida. Henrique Rabuñal got many prizes in different contests such as: - Literary Contest in Culleredo. - 'Breogán' prize (tales). - 'Galaico-Leonés' prize (narrative). - 'Meigas e Trasgos' prize (poetry). - Short theatre prize at the Galician Drama School. - 'O Facho' prize (tales for children). - 'D. A. de Andrade' prize (poetry). - First contest 'Mayo Literario'. He also got the distinction 'Arteixán del año 1994' and 'Carvallo Calero' prize for linguistic and literary research. He is sub-director of the Galician Encyclopaedia, Ir Indo Publications.
