He studied Agricultural Technical Engineering in Madrid. He began to work as a civil servant at the Ministry of Agriculture in 1972. Afterwards he worked for the Consellería de Agricultura at the Agricultural Advisory Service in Vegadeo for five years and in A Fonsagrada for fifteen years. He also worked at the Mountain Service and FOGGA in Lugo. In 1993 he took a degree in Geography and History at the Spanish Open University. At the moment he is the provincial delegate of the Consellería de Cultura e Deporte in Lugo.
He is the president of the Patronage of A Fonsagrada’s Museum and member of the Patronage of the Museo do Pobo Galego.
