He began to work as a master builder with Gabriel de Casas in the works of Lugo's cathedral. His first work was carried out at Nuestra Señora del Pilar Chapel in Santiago's cathedral. In 1714, he carried out several works at the Orphan School by order of Archbishop Monroy such as the belfry and the churchyard. That same year he was nominated as master builder of St Martin Pinario Monastery. In 1725, he made the project and carried out the execution of St Domingo de Belvís Church (Santiago). Several works were carried out at St Martín Pinario Monastery big cloister, Nuestra Señora del Socorro Chapel in the church of the abbey and the master altarpiece of this church. As far as civil works are concerned, he built 'Casa del Cabildo', 'Casa de la Conga' and 'Casa de la Inquisición'. He built the Capuchinas Convent in A Coruña and also carried out works in Lugo at the cloister of the cathedral and at Nuestra Señora de los Ojos Grandes Chapel (1725) in the cathedral. He carried out his most important work at the Obradoiro Façade (Santiago's cathedral), which protects the old Glory Porch, jewel of the Galician and Spanish baroque art. He started this construction in Comenzó 1738 and also the Bell Tower (Torre de la Campana).
He is buried at Santiago de Compostela cathedral.
