He studied Law at Oviedo University (1961-65). Then, he got a degree in Journalism (Madrid, 1969) with a research work titled Pablo Iglesias, político y periodista. In 1968, he got the diploma of the First Course for Directors of Theatre Groups. His studies at the Journalism School were recognised as the degree in Information Sciences (Journalism section) at Complutense University in Madrid. In 1969, he became delegate of the newspaper El Ideal Gallego in Santiago. He was also correspondent of the newspaper Ya and 'Logos' Agency. At the beginning of 1981, he designed the magazine 'Outeiro' for Caixa Galicia, where he published the testimony section titled 'Páxinas abertas'. He directed several press offices. In 1982, he was responsible for the news programme when the Pope visited Galicia. In 1984 and 1985, he was the manager of 'Araguaney' Foundation. In July 1985, he began to direct the programmes of the CTV video producer. In 1993, he worked as sub-editor at the institution 'Consortium of Santiago de Compostela'. In 1994, he directed the programme on Galician TV 'Galicia enteira'. Since October 1997, he has been an assistant manager in the programme 'Galeguidade' (also on Galician TV), which is dedicated to Galicia abroad. He wrote the guides Descubre Compostela, published by the 'Consortium of Santiago de Compostela' about fountains, capitals, statues and gargoyles in this city.

He wrote the guides Descubre Compostela, published by the 'Consortium of Santiago de Compostela' about fountains, capitals, statues and gargoyles in this city. He published in Galician language the report 'Os medios de comunicación en Galicia ante a autonomía' in the book Autonomía i mitjans the comunicació que recojee las actas de la XVII Setmana D'Estudis Sociales (Barcelona, 1981). Among other audio-visual works, he worked as scriptwriter and director of the documentary 'Galicia inédita', which consists of 148 reports, 26 divulging programmes titled 'Saúde e consumo', the quiz show 'A Reoca' (on the second stage, he used the pseudonym Xoán Sieiro) and coordinated the programmes for young people 'Saber e xogar'.
