He began his career playing the bass guitar in small musical groups. After the appearance of the album ‘La Charanga’ by Juan Pardo and the group Voces Ceibes, Andrés Dobarro decided to produce his musical career in Galician, finding many problems owing to the pressure of the record companies.
In 1969, he recorded his first album titled ‘O Tren’ and shortly after ‘Me llamo Andrés’ (1970), ‘Corpiño Xeitoso’, ‘San Antón’, ‘Pandeirada’ (1971), ‘Meu Amor’ (1971), etc. He combined his production both in Galician and Spanish and became and idol during the 70’s. He even played a role in the film ‘La Red de mi Canción’ by Mariano Ozores.
