He was secretary in Cervantes, A Cañiza and Cambados City Councils, secretary-auditor of Paradanta Community and departamental manager in the 'Consellería de Xustiza, Interior e Relacións Laborais'.

2000: Director general of Local Administration in the Xunta de Galicia.

2006: Secretary general of the PPdeG. 

2009: He was elected deputy in Pontevedra during the autonomic elections. Since March 2009 he has been 'conselleiro de Presidencia, AA.PP. e Xustiza'.

He is married and has two daughters.
