He studied the ecclesiastic career from 1942 to 1951 and Philology and Philosophy in Salamanca, Madrid, Munich and Viena (1951-1960). He took a doctor's degree in Philosophy at 'Complutense' University in Madrid (1963) and worked as a Professor in the Faculty of Philosophy at 'Complutense' University (1974). He is a member of the Academy of Moral and Political Sciences (Madrid, 1986) and member of the board of directors of the Council for Research in Values and Philosophy (Washington). He was one of the founders and collaborators of 'Xabier Zubiri' Philosophy Seminar (Madrid). He also founded and promoted the educational project called 'Escuela de pensamiento y Creatividad' (1987). He gave courses and lectures in several European and Latin American countries.
He wrote forty-two works about Philosophy. These are some of the most important ones: Metafísica de lo suprasensible, El triángulo hermenéutico, Filosofía española contemporánea, Estética de la creatividad, La juventud actual entre el vértigo y el éxtasis, Cinco grandes tareas de la Filosofía actual, Vértigo y éxtasis. The project 'Escuela de Pensamiento y Creatividad' was spread all over Spain, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina and Perú. This project is based on the education of children and young people to get creativity and values by means of reading and watching films.
