He entered the Diocesan Seminary of Lugo in 1986, where he took a degree in Ecclesiastical Studies, and was ordained as a priest on 26th July 1998. That same year, he was appointed to the ‘Milagrosa’ Parish Church in Lugo. He attended courses on press, radio production, TV and Internet in the Faculty of Communication at the Pontifical University of Salamanca. Owing to his liking for the new information technologies, he did a master in Communication at that University. In 1999, he began to coordinate the Diocesan Secretariate of the Media at Lugo’s Bishopric and was appointed to three parish churches of Friol (Lugo): Santiago de Trasmonte, San Paio de Seixón and Santiago de Miraz. Nowadays, he is responsible for two parish churches of Outeiro de Rei (Lugo): Santa María de Vicinte and San Vicente de Candai. He is the editor of the news bulletin 'A Nosa Voz', sound technician in the programmes 'Igrexa en Lugo' and 'Igrexa entre Liñas' of the radio station ‘Cope-Lugo’ and designer and responsible for the maintenance of the web page of Lugo’s diocese.
