When he was still a baby he came with his family to his family house in A Coruña. He studied Secondary Education in Betanzos. In 1911 he got his degree in Arts in Madrid. Then he went to Germany to finish his studies on Psychology. In 1917 he married Jacinta Landa Vaz Coronado. He took part in the movement ?Irmandades da Fala?.

 Work & Activities

In 1930 his friends published his work Ensayos y poesías, which is a compilation of unpublished writings and articles published in magazines and newspapers. As a poet he always wrote in Galician language except for some verses titled Badajoz dedicated to the native town of his wife. He was aun upholder of Galicia and defended the idea of teaching Galician language at shool as he considered it the identification sign of a country.

The Galician Academy dedicated him ?O Día das Letras Galegas? (The Day of the Galcian Letters) in 1974.
