In 1968, he took a degree in Telecommunication Engineering and his doctor's degree at the Telecommunication Engineering College in Madrid.

He also studied at Santiago University, the Politécnico di Torino (Italy) and Philips N.V. (Holland).

He has worked as researcher and Professor in Turin (Italy), Paris, Lannion (France), Canterbury (United Kingdom), Manchester, Udine (Italy), Los Angeles (U.S.A.), Mexico (IPN-Cinvestav, ITESM) and Santiago (Chile).

In 1967 and from 1970 to 1972, he worked as Professor at the Telecommunication Engineering College in Madrid. From 1977 up to now, he has been working as Professor at the Politechnical University in Catalonia.

He has been teaching the subject 'Systems of Telecommunication' at University since 1984. He founded the department 'Signal and Communication Theory' at the Politechnical University in Catalonia.

He is an expert in fixed, mobile and aeronautical telecommunication. He is a national and international consultant about radio digital communications and radioelectric spectrum.

 Work & Activities

He wrote and translated four books about Telecommunication in Spain.

He wrote the first english book about HAPS (2008).

He wrote more than 100 articles for magazines and national and international congresses.

He has revised international magazines about Telecommunication.

He is a member of national, European and American Committees about scientific and technical themes related to telecommunication.

He organizes national and international congresses and symposia.

He has taken part in national and European scientific-technical projects about digital communications overland fixed and mobile radio or via satellite.

He is the leader of a group to design an aerial to design an aerial platform for telecommunication, traffic control and environment within the scope of the Fifth and Sixth Programmes of the European Union.

He was the president in the Spanish section of the IEEE (International Organization of Electricity Engineers) from 2002 until 2007. Member of the managing group of the section from 1973 until 2012. President of the group Life IEEE (Spain) from 2010.
