He took a degree in Journalism at the Pontifical University of Salamanca (1996). He also studied English Philology at the University of Salamanca.

From 1996 and 1997 he worked as editor and announcer in Radio Voz Lugo.

Since 1997 he has been editor of La Voz de Galicia. Since 2002 he has presented “Biblioteca Galega” in Radio Voz with Manuel Rodríguez.

He also collaborated in “Libro aberto” on Galicia TV (TVG)

As a writer he published “Tute para catro” (Xerais, 2000) and “A-Z” (Xerais, 2003, extended Spanish version, Tropismos, 2006) and the novel “Solimán” (Xerais, 2004), which was awarded Rubia Barcia-Liceo de Ferrol Prize in 2003.

In 2014 he was awarded Frei Martín Sarmiento Prize for "O elefante branco".

He also translated “Arthur e George” by Julian Barnes, (Rinoceronte, 2006) and “Lolita” by Vladimir Nabokov (Factoría K) into Galician.
