 Curriculum

Although he was born in Barcelona, he has been living in Galicia since he was ten and all his family is Galician. He studied in the Faculty of Fine Arts in Salamanca for three years. He has been living and working in Vilagarcía de Arousa (Pontevedra) for fourteen years. He also works as a photographer in La Voz de Galicia.
His work forms part of the tradition of the so-called geometric abstraction. The genesis of this discipline can be found in the Russian constructivism, Bauhaus and De Stijl movement, which was later assumed by some members of the School of New York such as Frank Stella or Keneth Noland. Some of these proposals led to the Minimal and others such as the case of Peter Halley visit again the work of the great masters and coin the term “Neo Geo”, which means mainly using the space and its properties, colour and its behaviour and speak more about painting and less about emotions.
