After taking a degree in Philosophy and Arts at Complutense University in Madrid, she took her doctor’s degree in French Philology at Santiago de Compostela University. She is a Professor of French Philology at Santiago de Compostela University and member of the Association of Professors of French Philology of Spanish University. During the academic year 1990-91 she worked as ‘Maître de Conférences’ at Burgundy University (Dijou) in Francia. She directed ‘Rodríguez Cadarso’ Hall of Residence and was the vice-president of the Galician Association of Teachers of French, director of the Department of French and Italian Philology at Santiago University, member of the organizing committee of the conference ‘Les chemins du texte’, organised by the Association of Professors of French Philology of Spanish University and Santiago University.
She published the books Léxico Francés nos Cancioneiros galego-portugueses. Revisión crítica, Vigo, Galaxia and the articles ‘Puntualizacións á influencia da escola trobadoresca provenzal no léxico da lírica galego-portuguesa’; ‘Sobre a traducción de textos medievales franceses na edade media. O capítulo VI de Erec’; ‘La traducción de textos medievales franceses a la luz de versiones coetáneas’; ‘Evolution et devéloppement des formes de l’interrogation directe. 1: Les marques’ 2: L’ordie des elements de la prhase¡... and ‘Compostela e os trobadores’.
