He took a degree in Geography and History (Art History) at the University of Santiago de Compostela and a master’s degree in Heritage Management at the University of A Coruña and Interpretation of Cultural Heritage at the Open University of Catalonia and the University of the Balearic Islands. Today he is preparing his doctoral thesis about the artistic collections of Santiago de Compostela Cathedral at the Art History Department (University of Santiago de Compostela).
He focussed his career on museology and cultural management, improving his specialization with a three-year stay at the Ministry of Culture by means of a grant from the Tourism Department of the Xunta de Galicia and A Coruña County Council as well as the coordination of temporary exhibitions from the S. A. de Xestión del Plan Xacobeo. Since the very beginning, he has had a special connection with the Museum of Santiago Cathedral, where he has worked as scholar, documentalist, technical secretary and technical director-curator since 2009.
In addition to the monographs about Goya’s tapestries and Lepanto’s Pennant and the collection of textile art of the Cathedral’s Museum, he has made studies and catalographic cards of many pieces of the museum that were published in the catalogues of several exhibitions.
In 2010 he was the organizer, director of the project and editor of the catalogue of “Santiago, punto de encuentro”, an exhibition organized by Caixa Galicia Foundation and the Cathedral’s Museum.
