He took a degree in Political Sciences and Sociology and did a MA in Old People Attention Services. He directs the Old People’s Home of Vilalba and is the secretary of the Galician Federation of Old People’s Homes and vice-president of the Galician Association of Old People’s Homes of Social Initiative. He was a member of the National Committee of the Spanish Red Cross (1999-2003).
He directed ‘Perfil dos usuarios da Asociación Galega de Residencias e Centros de Anciáns de Iniciativa Social’, Ed. Acolle, Compostela (2004), ISBN 84-8299-516-2 and is a joint author of ‘Seis escritores de Vilalba. Escolma poética’, Lugo County Council (1986). He has also been collaborating in newspapers and magazines since 1985 and is the author of the photographic exhibition titled ‘Aquí están os nosos osos agardando polos vosos: Os camposantos da Terra Cha’ (1995). Besides, he has participated in several collective exhibitions.
He was awarded the Fiction Prize (2003) with ‘Magyar Posta’ and ‘Manuel Mato Vizoso’ Journalism Prize, both of them organized by Vilalba City Council (1992). He is the author of ‘Por favor, agarde a súa quenda’, a play performed by Cedeuve Teatro (1997). He is also amateur actor and graphic designer (books and magazines, logotypes and texts about corporative image).
