Curriculum

After taking a degree in Law at Santiago de Compostela University, he entered the Corps of Lawyers in the Social Security Administration and Secretaries of the Chambers of the Urban Property. He was the head of the secretary’s office of the Ministry of the Presidency (January 1974 – January 1976), head of the juridical consultant’s office of the Social Security (1976-82), secretary-general of the ‘Consellería’ responsible for Work, Social Security and Emigration of the Xunta de Galicia (April 1982 – March 1986), secretary-general of the ‘Consellería’ responsible for Agriculture (March 1986 - October 1987), secretary-general of the ‘Consellería’ responsible for Health (October 1987 – February 1990) and vicesecretary-general of the ‘Consellería’ responsible for the Presidency and Public Administration (March 1990 – July 1993). He was the secretary-general of the ‘Consellería’ responsible for the Presidency and Public Administration. He also got a diploma on Matters of the EC in the Spanish Home Office. In April 2009 he became director of the Galician School of Public Administration.
