He studied Political and Economical Sciences. He took a degree in Law at Salamanca University and Social Graduate in Santiago de Compostela. He was one of the founders of the 'Consello de Avogacía Galega' (Committee of Galician Legal Profession) and member of the Galician Academy of Jurisprudence and Legislation, the Seminary of Galician Studies and other institutions. He was also a member of the governing body of the Bar in Ourense and president of several cultural associations such as 'Auriense' or 'Cinematográfica Nós'.He was an active member of the 'Nationalist Party' and in the 50's he took part in social and municipal demonstrations to deal with matters such as pollution, floods, freedom, human rights and so forth.He took part, as defending counsel, in most trials against nationalists and nationalism.He takes part in politics, from the nationalist point of view, dealing with cultural activities.
He is a member of the editorial staff and advisory board of several professional and opinion magazines.Together with other writers, he wrote several books about Galician themes such as A contaminación na Galiza, A nosa terra é nosa, Castelao hoxe e sempre ...He gave reports in several professional congresses (Fifth Congress of Spanish Legal Profession, First and Second Congress of Galician Law, First Congress of Galician Legal Profession, First Congress of European and Community Law, First 'Galaico-Minhoto' Congress of Jurists, Seventh Assembly of American Jurists...) and also cultural (First to Fifth International Congress of Galician-Portuguese Language in Justice).He works as a lawyer in Galicia and North Portugal, with offices in Ourense, Vigo and Oporto. He is a member of the Sanhedrin of the Brotherhood of Galician Wines and keeps in touch with Portuguese Bacchic Fraternities.
