He worked as a teacher at the Diocesan Seminary in Lugo (1976-79) and at 'Tetuán-Valdeaceras' Secondary School in Madrid (1979-82). He was the vicar at 'San Ignacio de Loyola' parish in Madrid and taught Religion at the Secondary School of Colmenar Viejo (Madrid, 1982-86). He was also the parish priest of Guadalix de la Sierra and Valdemanco (Madrid), diocesan delegate for the youth in the 9th Vicariate (Madrid) and director of the Theology Centre for Laymen (1986-1990). Nowadays, he is the private secretary of the Bishop in Lugo, director of the Diocesan Secretariat of the Media, director of the religious programmes in the radio station 'Cope-Lugo' and teacher at the Seminary, at the Theology Centre for Laymen, at the Theological Institute of Lugo and at 'St Agustin' Institute of Religious Sciences (Madrid). He studied Humanities and took a degree in Religious Sciences and Systematic Theology at the Pontifical University of Comillas-Madrid. He also studied Cinematography and Broadcasting in Madrid.
He makes religious programmes for the radio stations 'Cope' and 'Radio Nacional' and writes theological and pastoral articles for the magazines 'Vida Nueva', 'Ecclesia', 'Misión Joven', 'Lumieira', 'Encrucillada' and 'Lucensia'. He usually collaborates in the newspapers El Progreso and La Voz de Galicia.
He is a member of the National Federation of Radio and TV Associations and 'Enmanuel Mounier' Institute (Madrid). Nowadays, he is preparing his doctoral thesis at the Pontifical University of Comillas (Madrid) about the ethical and social implications of the trinitarian reflection in the Liberation Theology.He also directs the Theological Institute in Lugo.
