She began to study piano, chamber music, composition, accompaniment and lyric drama at the Music Conservatoire in A Coruña, her native city. When she finished her studies, she started Singing in the same centre, finishing with a great success in Barcelona at the Music Conservatoire. She was granted the scholarships 'March', 'Castellblanch', 'Agustín Pedro' and 'Pons' and 'Eugenia Kémeny' Singing Prize. She moved to Milan, where she went on improving her opera courses with Elvira Rodríguez of Hidalgo, famous soprano who taught María Callas. She made her début carrying out recitals in different Spanish cities as well as in Luxembourg, Italy, Germany and Belgium. She performed in the opera seasons in the Iberian Peninsula, the Balearic and the Canary Islands.

 Work & Activities

Since she made her début, she usually sings at the Opera Theatre in Barcelona. She carried out a special performance of the play Doña Francisquita (Opera Theatre), directed by Plácido Domingo; La Bohème with Placido Domingo and Montserrat Caballé (Opera Theatre); Maruxa, Medea and Roméo et Juliette (Opera Theatre). She got 'CBS-Columbia' Prize to the Galician record on the Day of the Galician Letters. She performed special seasons in Barcelona: Leonora (II Trovatore), Zaida (Turco in Italia), concert of the Municipal Band: Strauss and Wagner and recitals: Verdi, Donizetti, Rossini, Bellini. She also got the medal awarded by RNE-Gran Teatro del Liceo to the youngest outstanding singer in the opera seasons. She carried out recitals at 'Palacio de la Música Catalana', 'Teatro Colón' and 'Rosalía de Castro' Theatre in A Coruña and the opera season in A Coruña (Carmen de Bizet). She also made special opera programmes for TVE, recordings for the radio and records for Columbia. She performed 'operetta' seasons at 'Teatro Apolo' in Barcelona and recitals Majorca. In 1995, she performed at Palacio de la Música (Homage to Manuel Asensi), 'Antología de la zarzuela' at Caja Madrid and 'Teatro Apolo'(1996, 1997, 1998), 'operetta' season at 'Teatro Apolo'(1999) and SLY (M. Wolf - Ferrari) at the Opera Theatre in Barcelona together with José Carreras (2000). She performed with many singers like: Alfredo Kraus, Plácido Domingo, José Careers, J. Argall, S. Estes, B. Christoff, M. Horne, Montserrat Caballé, R. Scotto, E. Obratsova, F. Cossotto, E. Marton, G. Dimitrova and E. Gruberova. She was directed by A. Gatto, L. Gardelli, V. Neuman, M. Pradelli, R. Abbado, J. Hill, E. Colomer, R. Lewis, R. Boninge, P. Steinberg, among others. She has a wide repertoire: chamber music, Italian, Russian, German and English song as well as operetta and opera.

She also combines opera and concerts with teaching Singing for professionals and from the therapeutic point of view as means to solve physical and emotional problems.
