He studied Teaching and worked in Ourense, A Coruña and Madrid. He collaborated in several newspapers and magazines such as La Región, Galicia, Faro de Vigo, Vida Gallega, Nós, etc. As the Civil War started he had to give up the Teaching Corps and devoted himself to private teaching in Ourense.
In 1933 he published Fírgoas, a poetry book written in Galician. Since the beginning of the Civil War he did not publish anything else except for his participation with some poems in the fourth volume of Escolma de poesía galega as well as other collaborations.
A reissue of his poems, some of them unpublished, was published in the newspaper La Región in 1979.
