He took a degree in Information Sciences (Complutense University - Madrid). He also studied Law and took his doctor’s degree in Information Sciences at the University of Santiago de Compostela.
He worked at several media during the period 1982-1992: Radio Cadena Española (Madrid), El Progreso de Lugo, Antena 3 - Radio de Galicia, La Voz de Galicia, Diario 16 and COPE Santiago (head of the news programme).
Since March 1992 he has worked as an expert on culture at the S.A. de Xestión do Plan Xacobeo - Xunta de Galicia, where he coordinated many publications and collaborated in different exhibitions and marketing programmes to promote the Way to Santiago.
He has been working as an associate Professor of Audiovisual Communication in the Faculty of Communication Sciences in Santiago de Compostela since 2003 and is a member of several university research groups.
He directed “I Xornadas sobre o presente e o futuro da Radio en Galicia”, a conference organised by the Galician Information Institute and the Institute of Communication Studies, Santiago de Compostela, October 1991.
He is the commissioner for the exhibition “Galicia pola radio. Dos anos trinta á actualidade”, Santiago de Compostela (February 2009).
He writes articles for specialized magazines and gives speeches and lectures about the Way to Santiago and the radio in Galicia.
