He took a degree in Information Sciences at 'Complutense' University in Madrid. Since 1990, he has directed the Institute of Communication and Sociological Investigations in Santiago. He is also a correspondent in Galicia of the newspaper 'La Vanguardia', which is published in Barcelona. He worked for the newspaper 'Ya' in Madrid and was editor in chief of 'El Ideal Gallego' in A Coruña and delegate of 'La Voz de Galicia' in Lugo. He was also a correspondent of 'Logos' agency. He was the head of the press office of the Xunta de Galicia and adviser of the 'Conselleiro de Educación' and vice-president of the autonomous government.
He took part in two collective books: Cuba en dos tiempos, published by the Spanish Association of Tourism Writers, in collaboration with the Cuban Institute of Tourism, and Como se escribe unha noticia, on the initiative of the 'Consello da Cultura Galega'.
