In 1974 she moved to Santiago de Compostela to study Medicine. After finishing her career, she returned to Lugo, where she began to work at the Health Specialties Centre. From 1994 to 2000, she also worked at the emergency service of Policlínico Lucense (POLUSA). Since 2000 she has been working at Lugo Hospital the User’s Service.
She studies Geography and History at the Open University.
When she was seven, she attended drawing classes with López Guntín, but she gave up while she was studying Secondary University and her career. In 1980 she took up her drawing and painting classes again with Xesús Blas Lourés but she gave up in 2000 for labour reasons. She uses oil painting and only occasionally watercolour. In 2005 El Progreso published an interview for being a doctor interested in painting and photograph.

-1995: ‘II Concurso de Pintura do Día do Médico’ (first prize), Medical Association, Lugo.
-1997: ‘IV Concurso de Pintura do Día do Médico’ (consolation prize), Medical Association, Lugo.
-1998: Third prize in the Photography Contest, organised by the ‘Asociación de Amigos do Camiño de Santiago’ in Lugo.
-1999: ‘VII Concurso de Fotografía do Día do Médico’ (consolation prize), Medical Association, Lugo.
-2000: ‘V Concurso de Pintura do Día do Médico’ (first prize), Medical Association, Lugo.
-2003: ‘XI Concurso de Fotografía do Día do Médico’ (first prize), Medical Association, Lugo.
